Northamptonshire Cricket League officials have welcomed the decision of Northampton-based Hevey Building Supplies to extend their sponsorship of the competition.
Hevey will continue to back the NCL for a further three years – meaning that by the end of that period they will have sponsored the organisation for a full decade.
“We’re most sincerely grateful for their continued support,” said committee member Derek Thompson, who along with the league’s new chairman David Hartley met recently with Hevey’s directors.
“It means that together with our partners – Northants Recreational Cricket and Northants ACO – we’ll be able to continue promoting, delivering and subsiding training courses for cricket coaches, umpires and scorers from our member clubs.
“This will enable us to take the league forward.”
The NCL season – involving nearly 160 teams in 15 divisions – will start on Saturday April 25.
