Ben Duckett ended his Under-19 World Cup on a high as England claimed third place with a one-wicket victory over Australia.
The Northamptonshire batsman hit a round 100 from 109 balls - he was the only player to reach 30 - as England made hard work of their chase at the ICC Academy in Dubai.
Having been reduced to 213-9 with 23 balls remaining, number 11 Matthew Fisher thrashed an unbeaten 20 as the target was reached in the final over.
Earlier, Ben McDermott’s 56 was the main contribution as the Australians, who won the toss, made a competitive 246-9 from their 50 overs.
The final between Pakistan, who got the better of England in the semi-finals, and South Africa takes place tomorrow (Saturday).
