Ben Duckett hit a quickfire half-century as England Under-19s beat their Nepal counterparts by 126 rusn at the Under-19 World Cup.
The 17-year-old, who has been offered a contract by Northamptonshire, made a 33-ball 55 as England made 274-7 from their 50 overs in Townsville, Essex’s Ben Foakes top scoring with 92.
In reply, Nepal were reduced to 9-4 but Subash Khakusel hit 55 to enable them to recover to 148.
Reece Topley continued his excellent form with ball, taking 3-10, and Shozair Ali snared 4-37.
The victory booked England’s place in the last eight of the tournament where they will face South Africa on Sunday.
