Northamptonshire’s dreadful start to the cricket season continued as they succumbed to Kent.
Resuming this morning on 50-4, they lost their last six wickets adding just 66 runs in the process.
They were finally all out for just 116 taking their total to the game to 248 in two innings.
That was 120 less than their Kent visitors managed in their solitary go and sees Northamptonshire slip to their second heavy defeat in two County Championship games.
This loss by an innings and 120 runs comes after head coach David Capel’s side opened their campaign last week with a 202-run loss to Derbyshire.
