Police, fire and ambulance services were called to a rural village after a man was accused of pouring petrol on a caravan occupied by a family.
The emergency services were called out to the hamlet on the Northamptonshire / Rutland border at about 5.30pm on Wednesday.
A man had poured petrol on to the caravan in which a family with several children had been staying next to The Mill garage off the A6003.
It is believed to have been part of an ongoing civil dispute.
The caravan was not set alight although a fire crew from Uppingham was on the scene to ensure it did not catch fire.
No arrests were made although it is thought that one person received first aid treatment.
