An historic steam train will puff through Northamptonshire this weekend.
The York Yuletide Express will stop at Kettering before travelling on north on Saturday, December 20.
Hauled by A4 class Pacific steam engine “Union of South Africa”, the train is due to arrive at Kettering at 9.25am, having passed through Wellingborough and travelling through Corby just afterwards. It then leaves Kettering at 9.47am.
The Railway Touring Company has also boasted of its journey over Harringworth viaduct as one of the selling points of the journey.
Taking passengers on a day trip from London to York, the train – this time pulled by a diesel engine – will again call at Kettering at 8.37pm.
