Youngsters who attend a youth group run by Wellingborough Homes have been praised for their efforts after taking part this year’s carnival parade.
Members of the Community Stars group helped to create the organisation’s eye-catching float, which had an Olympic animals theme.
This year was the first the not-for-profit housing association had entered into the town’s annual carnival.
The youth group members, who are all aged between 13 and 19, have taken part in a number of community events along side Wellingborough Homes staff.
Elly Simms, community manager for Wellingborough Homes, said: “Our community stars are keen to get involved in community activities and are full of ideas, which help us tap into the interests of our young people. We also help them with information and advice.
“They worked hard on their float for the Wellingborough Carnival and created something which they were really proud of.”
