Take a look around this county and you will find a vast array of food and drink providers who are making names for themselves on a national and even international stage.

Companies like Warner Edwards and Farrington’s Mellow Yellow, who are both featured in today’s Telegraph, are in the vanguard of the county’s burgeoning food and drink industry.

The Telegraph spends much of its time promoting such firms and we are delighted to once again be involved in the annual Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards.

The awards, which were devised by Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership, are entering a magnificent seventh year and aim to celebrate all that is great about local produce and drink, recognising excellence within the county’s dining venues and rewarding those who work so hard within the culinary sector.

Which is exactly what we aim to do in the pages of the Northants Telegraph on a weekly basis.

There is some truly great produce out there in our county, so go and tuck in!
