More than 60 youngsters are needed to be part of The Adventures of Pinnochio this Christmas.

The Castle theatre in Wellingborough is looking to recruit dozens of children and young people for a part in this year’s festive production.

The auditions are open to young people from Wellingborough and the surrounding area who would like the experience of performing in a professional production.

Anyone aged between eight and 16-years-old who loves acting, singing and dancing is invited to apply.

The auditions will be taken by the production’s director, Luke Sheppard, who is no stranger to working with young people as he was associate director on the RSC’s West End production of Matilda.

He also directed The Castle’s 2013 Christmas production, The Hundred and One Dalmatians.

The auditions will take the form of a workshop with elements of singing, acting and dancing.

Auditions will be on Saturday, October 11, and Sunday, October 12 at 10.30am for ages eight to 10, 1.30pm for ages 11 to 13 and 4pm for ages 14 to 16.

Audition places can be booked by calling the box office on 01933 270007.

An information pack is available to download from www.thecastle.org.uk/pinocchio-auditions or it can be requested from the box office.

The Adventures of Pinocchio runs from Monday, December 8, until Tuesday, December 30.

Tickets can be bought by calling the box office on 01933 270007 or online at www.thecastle.org.uk.
