Young people in Corby are invited to a forum where they will get the chance to question decision-makers in the town.

Corby’s Young People’s Joint Action Group is inviting all young people in the borough to an open day on Monday, April 7, from midday to 3pm, at the Connaughty Centre in Cottingham Road.

A panel made up of representatives from Corby Council, the police and Corby town centre’s management will attend the event, including deputy leader of the council, Cllr Jean Addison, Inspector Carl Sturman from Northamptonshire Police and Corby town centre director Dan Pickard.

There will also be stalls providing information about local activities, learning opportunities and health and well-being for young people.

Cllr Addison, said: “I am very much looking forward to meeting lots of our young community and getting a different perspective on local issues. Our young residents are the future of the borough and need to have a say on what happens in their area. We hope that many will take this opportunity to come along and speak to us.”

Anyone interested in setting up a stall at the open day is asked to telephone 01536 464603 or emailing Elizabeth.hudson@corby.gov.uk.
