Corby Diamonds youth football team wore their new kit for the first time on Wednesday (September 25) after a fundraising drive with a difference. The team sold football cards to raise money for the new kits and decided to add the logo of local disability charity, the Papworth Trust, to show their support.
They decided to support the charity because Andy Bissell, the father of one of the players, works in the Papworth Trust Employment Office in Wellingborough.
The trust supports disabled people to have equality, choice and independence in their lives and every year it works with more than 20,000 people through a range of services, including support with care, leisure activities and practical help around the home.
