Would-be burglar challenged by Kettering householder during attempted break-in

A householder scared off someone who tried to break into their home during an attempted burglary in Kettering.

The attempted break-in took place in Ostlers Way at about 9.15pm on Thursday, October 2.

The burglar tried to force open a window at the back of the house and then smashed it with a garden ornament. The householder heard the breaking glass and challenged the offender who ran off into the street.

The offender is described as about 5ft 3in, with a very slight build, and wearing dark clothing.
