Work has started on a new housing development in Higham Ferrers.

David Wilson Homes’ new development, Lancaster Gardens in Station Road, will have 88 houses with a mix of three, four and five bedroom homes, the first of which are expected to be ready by the spring.

The managing director of David Wilson Homes South Midlands, Chris Hatfield, said: “We are very excited to announce that work has started at our new development in Higham Ferrers following much hard work and planning.

“We aim to contribute a great deal to the local area as part of this new development, both in terms of the high-quality homes we will be building and the jobs which will be created, and we are sure that Lancaster Gardens will soon prove a great place for people to call home.”
