Work on the completion of Newton Road bridge will take four days longer than expected.
The unclassified road between Mill Hill, Great Oakley, and Newton Road will be re-opened on the morning of Wednesday, April 2, and not early on Friday (March 28) as first stated.
A spokesman for the county council said: “The section of Newton Road between the A6003 Barford Bridge roundabout and the Newton T-junction will subsequently be closed on the morning of Wednesday, April 2, and will re-opened on Friday, April 18.
“Traffic from Newton and Geddington will be diverted towards Great Oakley and the A6003 Oakley Hay roundabout. Advanced warning signs will be in place during the week leading up to the closures, to alert people to diversions.”
