The Dostiyo Asian Women and Girls Organisation will this week celebrate moving to a new premises, the Keystones Community Centre on Rockingham Road in Kettering.
The celebration event is tomorrow (Thursday, July 4).
The group, which was previously located at the Crescents Community Centre in Laburnum Crescent, work to overcome barriers of language, culture, racial prejudice and isolation that Asian women and girls often face in their daily lives.
Dostiyo has operated in Northampton since 1979, and launched a group for people from Kettering and Corby in August 2011.
The group hold a Well-being Cafe at the Keystones Centre on Thursdays between 10:30am and 2:30pm. The Cafe serves hot Indian food, as well as teaching English and running a drop in Advocacy Surgery and other well-being activities.
Membership costs £7.50 for a year and is open to all women and girls who wish to contribute to the aims of the organisation.
