A dog walker needed surgery on her hand after being bitten by a stray dog.
The 38-year-old woman was walking her pet in Neale Avenue, Kettering, when a stray dog, believed to be a brown and white Staffordshire Bull Terrier type dog, jumped up and bit her, causing serious injuries to one of her hands.
A police spokesman said: “The woman has since required surgery on her hand and her dog has received treatment at the vets after also being bitten.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which took place some time between 10am and 11am on Friday, March 1.
