Woman knocks boy off bike in Kettering and drives off

A motorist who hit a teenager in Kettering only stopped briefly to check on him before driving off.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the non-stop road accident which took place in Rothwell Road at the junction with Legion Crescent, Kettering, yesterday (Thursday).

The incident took place at about 5.30pm when a 15-year-old boy was knocked off his bike during a collision with a silver Toyota.

A police spokesman said: “The woman driving the Toyota stopped and opened the car door to check on the welfare of the teenager before driving off.

“The cyclist received minor cuts and some bruising during the incident.”
