Woman, 22, airlifted after road crash

A 22-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital with chest and pelvis injuries after a road crash near Ashton on Monday evening.

Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance was scrambled to the scene of the collision, involving two cars, at about 8.10pm.

The woman, the driver of one of the vehicles was cut from the vehicle by firefighters and was initially treated for her injuries at the scene before being airlifted to University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.

Her current condition is unknown.

All other patients were treated at the scene by East Midlands Ambulance Service crews.
