Team members at the Wilkinson store in Wellingborough are offering a helping hand to community groups and charities in the area who need extra support with local projects.
Whether the project benefits young people, families or the elderly, staff are appealing to anyone who is passionate about their local community to get involved and apply for a donation.
People living within the Wellingborough area will be able to apply to the store for a monetary donation, Wilkinsons’ products or team members can volunteer their time.
Graeme Bickle, Wilkinson store manager, said: “The Helping Hands scheme is an initiative where funding is provided to support local projects, directly benefitting the lives of people who live and work close to the store.
“As a company, it’s great to be able to help local community groups and charities by giving something back to the area, whether it’s seeds to help a community garden bloom or paint for a local animal shelter, we are able to help.” Application forms can be collected from the store and once completed, forms should be returned to the store’s help desk. Successful applicants will be notified within three months of submission.
Team members at the Wilkinson store in Rushden and Kettering are also appealing for Helping Hands applications in their local area.
