Wicksteed Park is trying to trace a new mum who had to stop at the park gates this morning while on the way to hospital in an ambulance (Tuesday, January 13).

Park managing director Alasdair McNee said he arrived at work this morning at about 9am to find an ambulance parked at the entrance.

He later learned that the emergency vehicle had been transporting an expectant mum to hospital.

Mr McNee said: “It is not the sort of thing you expect to see when you arrive at work in the morning.

“We would like to trace the woman to send her a congratulatory bunch of flowers.”
