He might not be the early favourite, but the owner of a Kettering company is still in the game in week two.
Karthik Nagesan owns a Kettering-based IT consulting company and is one of 18 candidates starring in the new series of BBC One’s The Apprentice.
The 33-year-old successfully made it through week one, which saw the candidates selling collectables at Wimbledon car boot sale under the watchful eye of Lord Sugar’s trusted aides Karren Brady and Claude Littner.
While it is too early in the series for many bookies to start offering odds, one online betting site has put Karthik at 16-1 and named Sofiane as the early favourite.
But how will Karthik, known as the ‘Big K,’ fare tonight?
This week’s episode sees the candidates summoned to the Istituto Marangoni where Lord Sugar tells them they must create an advertising campaign for jeans made from Japanese denim.
The teams need to design packaging, film a TV advert and create an attention-grabbing bus shelter advert, all before pitching the whole campaign to a panel of leading industry experts.
Find out how Karthik gets on in tonight’s episode on BBC One at 9pm tonight.
