A Wellingborough man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 72-year-old man.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the suspicious death of Giuseppe Miceli last weekend.

Mr Miceli was found dead by ambulance staff at his home in Bants Lane, Northampton, on Saturday, July 13, at about 1.45pm.

A 40-year-old man from Wellingborough was arrested on suspicion of murder and he remains in police custody.

Investigators are asking anyone who was in the Bants Lane area, from lunchtime on Thursday, July 11, through to the afternoon of Saturday, July 13, to get in touch.

Mr Miceli was involved in the coin and medal trade for more than 40 years after moving to England, and had planned to retire next year. He ran his business, the Coin and Medal Centre, from his home. Anyone with any information can call police on 101 or 03000 111222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
