OFFICERS in Kettering were out in force in the town to tackle priority issues during a week of action.
The Kettering Safer Community Team (SCT), were out patrolling parking outside schools, ramping up anti-social behavoir patrols in parks and hotspots, and walking round town wards last week.
The purpose behind the week of action was to tackle issues which have recently been identified as a priority by the local community, as well as an opportunity for officers to speak directly with members of public to give reassurance and advice.
Kettering SCT co-ordinator Patsy Bosworth said: “When carrying out a week of action it is always essential to focus the activities based on what the local community have said is important for their area.
“Officers, alongside our partners, carried out a variety of activities, which involved members of the community from a wide range of age groups and backgrounds in order to get a better understanding of the priorities identified by the local area.”
Officers also met the public during the week and PCSOs spoke to local pupils about the perils of speeding.
