A weather workshop is being held in Corby to help firms cope with climate change and severe weather events such as flooding.

It is being held on Tuesday (January 28), from 9am until 1pm, at Corby Enterprise Centre at Priors Hall Park.

The Environment Agency will give a presentation on flood risk mapping and flood warnings and Northamptonshire County Council will provide information and advice on business continuity planning.

The Institution of Occupational Safety will give a presentation on the health and safety implications of severe weather and Climate East Midlands will outline how patterns of severe weather are likely to change.

A spokesman said: “The workshop will involve discussions, interactive exercises, and signposting to tools and further information, so that each participant leaves with ideas for practical steps that they can take to make their business more resilient.”
