A woman was airlifted to hospital after a water-skiing accident.

The 36-year-old was injured on Sunday afternoon (September 29) after hitting a landing post while water-skiing at Grendon Lakes.

She hit the landing post at 20mph, injuring her chest.

Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) was called just before 3pm and landed shortly afterwards.

The patient was rescued from the water, given blanketing by paramedics and pain relief by a WNAA doctor.

She was airlifted to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire, and was stable throughout the flight and on handover to the hospital staff.
