MEP candidates for the UKIP in the forthcoming European Elections will be in Corby on Saturday (April 26) to meet voters.
All five cadidates for the region, defending MEP Roger Helmer, Margot Parker, Kettering borough councillor Jonathan Bullock, Nigel Wickens and Barry Mahoney, are expected at the meeting at 1.30pm in the Church of the Epiphany Hall, in Elizabeth Street, to outline the issues they will be campaigning on. They include immigration, energy and membership of the European Union.
There will also be a meeting at Rushden Indoor Bowls Club in Northampton Road in the town at 7.15pm on Wednesday, April 30.
Mrs Parker, who stood for UKIP in the Corby by-election in 2012, said: “The UKIP open public meetings have always been successful and I am looking forward to meeting our friends and supporters and particularly those who want to know more about UKIP and how the European Parliament affects our daily lives.”
Members of the public will be able to ask questions at the meetings.
