Crowds of people are being wowed by flicks and tricks at the Rushden Jam event today (Sunday August 4).
The popular Rushden Jam event has returned to Jubilee Park, Rushden, and welcomes a host of professional and amateur BMX riders who will perform an array of tricks.
There will also be competitions on scooters as well as the usual thrills and spills on the ramps demonstrated by the BMX riders.
The event will run until 7pm and organisers are hopeful that several hundred people will attend.
Organiser Ben Joyce said: “We’re just trying to grow the event so the youth of Rushden have something do on a Sunday.”
He added that a lot of activities planned to ensure everybody attending has as much fun as they can.
Professional BMX bikers will be giving demonstrations and competing alongside amateurs and an extra ramp has also been provided by Rushden Town Council, to allow more room for the day’s events.
The event allows amateurs to show off their skills on BMX, skateboards, scooters and inline skates.
There is also stalls at the park selling a variety of products.
Free parking will be provided in Jubilee Park on Bedford Road, Rushden.
