Motorists have continued to struggle with road closures near the Stanion roundabout.
Work to lower the roundabout, enabling it to be linked to the new A43 Corby link road, is currently taking place.
And drivers have been speaking of their anger at the closures. County council officials have insisted warning signs are clear enough to explain which roads are open.
But Tony Ball, the scheme’s project manager, admitted he had been dreading this part of the schedule of works.
Today (Wednesday, September 11), lorries heading south down Stamford Road were forced to do U-turns – being unable to turn right along the diversion down the narrow Geddington Road.
Stamford Road is currently shut between the junction with Geddington Road and the Stanion roundabout.
