Former players at a town’s rugby club have celebrated half a century at their ground with a special lunch this afternoon (Saturday, November 2).
Kettering RFC moved to Waverley Road in 1963, and about 120 ex-players marked the anniversary before the 1st XV league fixture against Huntingdon.
And, fittingly, the current crop of Blues marked the occasion with a comfortable 24-0 victory.
Many spectators watched from the clubhouse’s new balcony, which was opened earlier this season.
