Hundreds of youngsters had the chance to enjoy a day out at Wicksteed Park today, in a special event organised by the Rotary clubs in our district.

Large groups of children were taken to the pleasure park by Rotary groups from across the county as part of ‘Kids Out Day,’ which is an annual event organised in conjunction with the Kids Out Charity,

School children were given the chance to have a go on rides for free and were provided lunch.

The first Rotary Kids Out Day Out took place in 1990 and since then groups from across the country have taken up to 25,000 disadvantaged children on a fun day out every year.

Bill Clifton, organiser of the day out for the Rushden Rotary club, said he hopes the children enjoy a great day out. He added that the day out would not be possible without the hardwork of fellow Rotarians and their partners.
