They struck at the takeaway in the Rockingham Park retail park in Princewood Road, Corby, last night (Thursday, 9 October).

At about 10.55pm, three offenders went into the shop and threatened staff with a knife and what appeared to be handguns, forcing them to hand over cash.

A getaway driver stayed outside in a vehicle – a red Saab, possibly a 9-3 model.

The robbers then left the shop and drove off in the Saab, which had been parked directly outside the premises.

It is believed the Saab may have been stolen from a property in Barton Seagrave, overnight between Monday, September 22 and Tuesday, September.

Detectives hope someone will recognise the offenders or may have seen a red Saab in the area around the time of the incident, and are urging anyone with information to contact Corby CID.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
