Producer Peter Morrall said: “It’s getting people to work together and produce something they are proud of. That’s what’s important.”

Members of the Armed Forces will be honoured at the event, with the Royal British Legion in attendance.

And Mr Morrall revealed that since the show was advertised in the Telegraph, the widow of a former member of a London Gang Show, who is now involved with the RBL in Raunds, had approached him and would play a part in the show.

The 28th annual show takes place at the Castle Theatre, Wellingborough, between Monday, March 11, and Saturday, March 16.
