Video footage shows the moment murderer Edward Tenniswood led India Chipchase towards a taxi in Northampton shortly before he strangled her to death at his “squalid” house.
The footage, taken from various CCTV cameras, first shows 52-year-old Tenniswood leaning in to talk to India outside NB’s nightclub in the town centre.
It was played to jurors as part of a two-week murder trial at Birmingham Crown Court, but police have now released it to the public following today’s guilty verdict.
In the released material cameras along Bridge Street then show Tenniswood leading 20-year-old Miss Chipchase, who appears to be struggling to walk, into a taxi.
Today a jury has found loner Tenniswood guilty of raping and murdering the young barmaid at his home in Stanley Road.
Prosecuting for the case, Christopher Donnellan QC had told jurors at Birmingham Crown Court Tenniswod was a delusional man, who created a disturbing fantasy account of the night Miss Chipchase died.
