Organisers say a village’s annual beer festival keeps getting bigger and better.
Brigstock’s ninth festival, which was raising money for Lakelands Hospital, Kettering Hospital and brain injury charity Headway, has seen almost 1,000 people through its doors in just two days.
“It’s looking really good, probably even better than last year,” said Giles Owen, one of the organisers. “We seem to be getting bigger each year.”
“We had about 200 last night (for an evening of comedy),” added festival chairman Chris Allen. “There will be 200 more tonight (Saturday) and 400 to 500 during the day.”
The festival, which included beers from 24 mainly local breweries, has raised £43,000 for good causes since it was established in 2005.
