A 57-year-old man died of natural causes rather than injuries sustained after the car he was driving left the A45 near Irchester.
The accident took place at about 10.10pm on Monday, January 21, on the westbound A45, 300 metres west of the Irchester turning.
Earlier this week, police said a black Vauxhall Corsa being driven by a 57-year-old man left the road and came to rest in the hedgerow. He was the only person in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesman said today (Friday): “A post mortem examination following the road traffic collision, on Monday, January 21, at 10.10pm on the A45 westbound close to the Irchester turning, has concluded that the 57-year-old man who was driving the car died of natural causes, not as a result of injuries sustained from the collision.”
