CHECKS were carried out on vehicles of gym-goers as part of a Good Garage Scheme run in Wellingborough.
David Mason from S&R Motors, Wellingborough, David Foreman from Precious Metals, Wellingborough, and Darren Gill from Rushden Vehicle Specialists, Rushden, carried out checks at Bannatyne’s Health Club in Wellingborough on Thursday, April 19.
Mechanics carried out 21-point health checks on cars to ensure safety and good running condition.
During the checks, several cars were found to have unsafe tyres, and several cars were found to be almost empty of engine oil.
Addison Howe, auditor of the Good Garage Scheme in Northamptonshire, said: “All of the customers who benefited from the Good Garage Scheme Spring Check seemed over the moon, especially those who we were able to avoid potentially costly damages to their engines due to lack of oil.”
