A 51-year-old man has been charged with wounding, aggravated vehicle taking and criminal damage after a woman was shot in a hamlet north of Northampton on Sunday, June 22.
Shaun Creasey, of Teeton, is due to appear before magistrates in Northampton later today (Tuesday).
The incident took place in an address in the hamlet, a few miles west of Brixworth, at about 5.50pm on Sunday.
The woman sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham by air ambulance.
Police said on Tuesday that she remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Creasey was arrested shortly after midnight on Monday morning after a police search which involved officers from across the county as well as support from the East Midlands Operational Support Unit and the police helicopter.
