Two young women are in hospital receiving treatment for what has been described as significant injuries following an attack in Corby.
Police were called to Boden Close on the Danesholme estate at 10.30pm on Tuesday (April 22) after the two victims were assaulted.
Officers cordoned off the car park next to a parade of shops in Boden Close but removed the tape at midday today (April 23).
A police spokesman said: “Both women were taken to Kettering General Hospital with significant injuries and are continuing to receive treatment. An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is on-going but police would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the Boden Close area of Corby late on Tuesday night. They would specifically like to speak to anyone who may have seen a man running away from the scene.”
The man is white, around 6ft, of average build, in his mid 20s to early 30s, with short blonde or brown hair. He was wearing a red, white and black tracksuit top and dark tracksuit bottoms. It is believed he had been drinking before the assault.
Police said he approached the women from the direction of the Talisman pub, running off into the Danesholme estate after the attack.
Witnesses or anyone with information ares asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
