Two men were seriously injured after a stabbing in Rushden in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident happened in Queen Street, Rushden, between 2.45am and 3am, outside the Cheers pub.

The victims, a 22-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, suffered stab wounds and were taken to hospital for treatment.

Officers investigating the assault are appealing for witnesses to the incident and anyone with information is asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
