Two men were killed in a road collision on the A427 near Dingley yesterday evening (Thursday, September 25).

The crash happened at about 5.30pm, about half a mile east of Dingley, when a white Vauxhall Insignia travelling towards Market Harborough, for reasons yet unknown, left the road and collided with a tree.

A 41-year-old man and a 54-year-old man, who were passengers in the vehicle, died at the scene.

The driver, a 58-year-old man, and another passenger, a 52-year-old man, were taken to Kettering General Hospital with chest and back injuries.

All four men were from the Market Harborough area.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and would particularly like to speak to anyone who was travelling in the line of traffic behind the Insignia and who may have information that can help with the investigation.
