Two men have been charged with conspiracy to supply drugs after they were arrested in Rushden last week.

The arrests came as part of Operation Scorpion, the three-month countywide operation to reduce violent crime.

Masimba Tinofirei, 28, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class B drugs and money laundering offences and was remanded in custody.

Samuel Cole, 18, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class B drugs.

He was bailed to appear at Northampton Crown Court, with Tinofirei, on Wednesday, October 28.

Over the coming weeks, Northamptonshire Police will continue to concentrate resources on arresting people wanted for violent crime, which is often linked to drugs offences.

Anyone who has information about the supply of drugs is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
