Traditional May bank holiday celebrations are being held at Kelmarsh Hall this weekend – where visitors are being invited to try out Maypole dancing.
The hall and gardens will be open on Sunday and Monday, May 4 and 5, when there will be performances of Maypole dancing in the morning and two performances in the afternoon on both days.
Visitors are being invited to learn more about Maypole dancing by taking part.
There will also be a number of children’s activities included in the garden admission.
The Grade I listed hall will be open for guided tours between 2pm and 5pm, giving visitors the chance to learn more about the history and former residents of the 18th century house.
The gardens will be open from 11am to 5pm, with seasonal highlights including tulips, Lily of the Valley and the last displays of daffodils and fritillaries.
