People in Kettering will have the chance to see famous aircraft in action this weekend as part of the Wicksteed at War event.

A Spitfire will fly past at 2.30pm on Saturday, with a Lancaster Bomber flying past at 2pm on Sunday.

There are only two surviving Lancaster Bombers in airworthy condition, with one operated by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the other in Canada.

The Wicksteed at War weekend also features battle re-enactments, armoury presentations, a vehicle run, a band and a beer festival.

If you have any photos or videos of the fly pasts, feel free to send them to us at nt.newsdesk@northantsnews.co.uk.
