Passengers catching the train from Corby to Kettering this morning were forced to use a replacement bus service after vandals damaged copper cables yesterday (Sunday, November 30).

East Midlands trains said engineers were called to the scene at about 6pm to carry out emergency repairs and all services were immediately suspended.

The firm has released a further statement this morning (Monday) to say that services should be running from about 10am, although it is likely that there will be delays until the repairs are fully completed.
