TRAFFIC: Air ambulance called after two-vehicle crash on A43 near Corby golf course

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a van and a car on the A43.

Members of the emergency services were called to the A43 Stamford Road near Priors Hall Golf Course in Corby just after midday on Friday (March 3).

The air ambulance as well as fire and ambulance crews also attended the crash involving a white Fiat and a Doblo Cargo van.

A Magpas medical team assessed the patient, who was in his 20s, who had sustained serious injuries.

The team provided pain relief and sedated the man to protect his injuries before airlifting him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

The patient was in a serious but stable condition upon arrival. His current condition is not known.

An EMAS Ambulance Service paramedic crew and Northamptonshire Police were also in attendance.
