Volunteers thanked for digging deep to clear up pocket park in Desborough
Despite forecasts of heavy rain and windy conditions, volunteers recently gave up their time to spruce up Desborough Pocket Park.
The pond was cleaned of debris and some of the weed that had been spreading across the surface of the pond was taken out.

Volunteers also helped with some pruning and weeding as well as setting some seeds.
Keith Brown said: “On behalf of the park committee, could I say a big thank you to all the volunteers, your work is really appreciated.”
Following a couple of hours of work, the volunteers enjoyed some soup, a roll and a chat while admiring their efforts in the park.
Volunteer events are held at the pocket park several times each year.
