The station will be the recipient of a sculpture from reknowned artist John Atkin, who has worked across the world.

Last week residents were invited to the Corby Cube to have their say on the new feature for the borough.

The consultation has moved on to Corby East Midlands International Pool in the hope to gather even more opinions on which sculpture best grabs people’s attention.

The three designs will be displayed in the reception area of the swimming pool until Friday, February 19, with voting slips available.

Corby Council’s lead member for community, Cllr John McGhee, said: “We are very excited to see Corby Railway Station’s brand new feature come to life.

“I am particularly pleased that the people of Corby get to vote for what they would like to see and what they think would bring some more character to the station.

“Resident’s views are what is most important to us so I hope that lots of people will drop by and place their vote.”

Once the sculpture is decided on, it will take pride of place at the station later this year.
