A man has been arrested and charged with arson after a blaze at a ground-floor flat on Saturday night.
Two crews of firefighters from Corby were alerted to the fire in Conyger Close, Great Oakley, just after 9.15pm. The incident involved a quantity of furniture, which was severely damaged.
The man was due to appear before magistrates in Wellingborough today (Monday, March 4).
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “There was moderate heat or smoke damage to the remainder of the flat and light smoke damage to the remainder of the three-storey block of flats.”
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
