BRAVE Niamh Curry has lost her battle against a rare childhood cancer.
Five-year-old Niamh, of Wellingborough, had been battling neuroblastoma and had spent the last month in hospital fighting pneumonia.
Her dad Chris tweeted at 1am today to say: “Tonight my brave beautiful little girl lost her fight with cancer. I am so proud of her and will miss her so much.”
The Niamh’s Next Step appeal was launched in January to raise £450,000 to send Niamh to America for treatment, and the total had reached £300,000.
Countless people had organised fundraising events and on Saturday the family thanked them for their “overwhelming” support in an interview with the Evening Telegraph.
