A robber with a tattoo of a tiger on his neck tried to pull a woman out of her car next to a park in Northampton, but fled when he was shouted at by a passer-by.

The victim had been sat stationary in her car by Abington Park between 3.10pm and 3.20pm on Tuesday, November 24, when the distinctive looking man approached.

The man opened the driver’s side door and attempted to pull the victim out of her car, but he was disturbed by a member of the public who shouted at him.

The robber ran off across Abington Park in the direction of Wellingborough Road.

He was described as white, 6ft tall, of large build, bald headed with a large tattoo of a tiger on the right hand side of his neck.

Police also say the man had a scar on his face “from his nose to his mouth.” He also has a twitch in one of his eyes. He was wearing tight blue skinny jeans and a blue T-shirt.

The victim’s car is a blue Daewoo Matiz.

Officers are keen to speak with the man who helped the victim. Anyone with information can call Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
